Default custom grind?

i have been reading alot of custom grind cams, what and where do you get them and how much power would i get out of one.
would one be better then a shelf cam
does anybody know about a voodoo cam?
here are the spec's.............>>>>>>.

Voodoo 219/227 515"/.530" 112/106 Hyd/Hyd 1800-6000

what would a custom grind cam shaft have that a store bought cam shaft don't have.

well everyone is going to have their opinions on this one....but u can use the search buttona nd find a lot of info on people running their diferent cams and what to do and not to do...for me i went with a customs grind comp cam ground by speed engineering....its a 224 236 ona 502 520 lift ona 108 LSA...with a custom grind u can come up with the specs that u want and not have to settle with something that is jus ok....i wanted a low LSA and a lot of the cams had 110, 112...but not many 108's with the duration wanted...so for u u need to figure out what are ur plans going to be for ur car.. u want to get a custom grind cam do ur homework on cams first figure out about the numbers and what kind of power u want ...also if u want to be racing, and have a powerband in the low rpm;s or u want someting higher....dont get some mild shitty cam and then get direct port nitrious system...plan ahead on what u want to do...and do things right the first time...u are not wanna be doing multiple cam swaps....that is just my .02 hope it helped a lil

Just a FYI about getting a custom grind. A Guy who will grind your cam WILL NOT give out specs before buying. People ask why? Well they take the time to grind a cam with your criteria, and then match it to the set up. If they do all this work and give you the specs, then you can just get one from somewhere else. So just be aware.

Bret Bauer did mine, I put faith in his choice, and I got a nice bumpstick!

Ok, sounds good so far but how would i know what cam to get?
my plans are : 355ci Lt1 ported & polish , gasket matched intake, 10.4-1 compression,3 angle valve job, headers, w/cats,tuned pcm,not to sure on injectors right now 26 lb., cai.
3.42 gears, w/2200-2500 stall.
pcm for less can tune for smog & one for wot porformance.
i want keep some of the low end torque but have power past 5000 rpms.
how wo uld i go about figuring what cam to get witht he gears & stall i have, and the things i'm doing to my motor ???
