Timing chain

Hey guys,

I'm putting a Meziere electric water pump on my 94. I'd like to change the timing chain & gears. Being that I'll no longer need the water pump drive gear, I'd like to use a standard dual roller timing chain set. Two questions:

1: Will I have any problems with the Optispark drive?

2: How do I block off the timing cover water pump drive hole?

1- Assuming this is for the 94 FB, then no the non vented opti wont work.

2- I welded the timing cover, some use expansion plugs.
