Default Long tubes

I need to know a couple of things fast before I miss out on a sale. 1. Will long tube headers with a catted y-pipe pass PA state inspections? Basically, are LT's legal? 2. Also, is it better that I go with race style or regular? Im going to be running an off-road y-pipe and have the ecm tuned however I will switch to the catted y-pipe for inspections. 3. Lastly, please someone school me on the whole 02 deal with having LT's.

Thanks alot in advance!

Long tubes in any state where the cats are relocated is illegal. When you refer to 'race-style' do you mean no cats? Have test pipes made, or screw the entire process and just have the system made cat-less. You'll want provisions for O2 in the collector ahead of where the cats will be. The rear O2 will need to be connected to simulators that tell the PCM that the cats are doing their job and that everything is cool.

How does everyone pass inspection then? Race-style meaning headers without egr provisions and 02 hookups etc. How or where do I buy 02 sims? Would I pass inspection if I bought a carsound cat, bolt it up to the catback where the stock cat is and have an exhaust shop fab the piping from the cat in the stock position to the collectors on the Long Tubes?

I don't believe it is possible to run LT headers and retain the stock position of the cat. Inspections are passed by ignorant techs or by financial motivation. 02 sims are sold by a few of the vendors on this site.

Lt headers are not legal where a state requires cats. You have to have an ORY which relocates the cats. To retain 02's you have to buy 02 extensions so tehy will reach.
