Blower setup for my 383 LT1.
Eagle crank, eagle h-beam rods, forged pistons. I got it balanced pretty well and im running roughly 9:1 compression. Ive got a pretty big custom cam with around .600 lift and some trick flow aluminum heads 2.02 intake valve. The damn car sounds so MEAN. For a 383 it revs fast as hell. Ive also got the stock 10 bolt with 4.10's which isnt going to be in there much longer. I want to put a blower on it and push around 500-550 rwhp? Is that asking too much for my setup. If the blower goes in the cam is definately going out. Its got too much duration IMO for a blower.
I originally planned for a D1-SC procharger unit with an intercooler (preferably fron mount maybe???) Ive seen some vortech LT1 push some great numbers. What should i look for??? SOme help would be great. I need some direction!!!!
I'm running about 9.4:1, Vortech V-2 SQ S-trim, small solid roller (230/236, 112LSA, .575/.582 net lift), 72# hi-z injectors. Large, custom Bell FMIC.
G-Tech says about 740fwhp, 595rwhp.
Maybe the #4 or #5 picture at my site:

I like the semi-stealth sound (faint whine, bypass whistles a bit at cruise speed) of the SQ. I wouldn't want a fulltime loud whine.
