Well, I just bought a '94 LT1 'Vette and it had the same problem... held temperature just fine while driving, but when you sit and idle it overheats because the fans didn't kick on. Mine needed two new fan relays, and two new fan motors.

I'd check the relays first because those are cheaper than the fan motors...

Are you sure that they dont turn on? Because before I reprogramed my ecu my temp gauge would go all the way up to right before the red then at the last second the fans would turn on (if it was just siting and not moving).

First see how high it goes. Lt1 fans dont turn on until like 220 or some rediculously high number like that. Since you already checked the fuses jumper the relay and see if it turns on. If still a no go and check on the passenger side of the car there is handful of those inline (part of the wire type) fuses. See if that over heated and burned up (Just recently found that to be the case in a buddies car). Lastly, get an ohm meter on the fan motors and check them out.

There is a reason it burned the fusable link It either shorted out or the fan motors are going
