Default Snow Sucks *****

I finally got to school. What used to be a 10 minute drive turned into 40 minutes. Couldnt ever get traction. Off a light i would be sitting there just tapping the throttle and spinning, while all these 90 hp Hondas were having no problems at all and passing by me. It took me AT LEAST 15 seconds just to get across an intersection (up to about 10 mph). Then off a light at probably close to the busiest intersection around somehow i am in front of everybody again. I am just driving forward when suddenly i hear a big boom and my car is sideways. I jumped a ****** cement barier that was probablly about 6 inches tall and was just stuck there sideways. I couldnt see it because the snow had covered it up. Meanwhile the cars in the other lane were just driving by. Luckily one of my buddies was behind me in the other lanes and him and a couple other kids got out and helped me push my car back over. Now i am looking outside and it is still snowing like crazy. Theres probably 3 inches and if it keeps snowing there will be close to 5 or 6 by the time i leave school. Damn, i cant wait to drive home. ****

w, just left this morning for school, 654 i leave, snowd 3 inches. I got to the front of my neibhorhood with a little bit of spin. So im sitting at the exit waiting for a chancce to leave and i see one so i hit it. 1500k and im just spinning, i try going back and the forward still spin, i repeat till im on someguys sidewalk. Then i say **** it. Im going home. I tryd to turn around and go home but no luck just spun ans spun. So i put her up to 6200k and she caught traction and into a half cookie she went. Now i was on the opositite side of the street on the sidewalk. I got home at 711. This is rediculous, last year with only havein a c/b and now with all my mods, i think i fuckd myself with gears and ****. Dunno, but now im sittin here wondering how im ever going to make it through winter. IM now sitting at home cuz my mom left for work, i have no way to get to school. ****** snow and white christams bull ****.

You guys know where you live yet try to drive the Camaro in the snow? Either get some snow tires for it or buy a cheap winter rat. Oh and please stop the crying, you sound like little girls. I used to have fun driving my Camaro in the winter. :Chug:

Yea well we are only 17 and we both are saving for more POWER . I cant afford tires right now, or a beater. I have better things. I honestly would be at school if i had more people leaving my hood. Other people harden the snow so i can get out.

I have a cheap winter rat, but drove the Camaro today while I took the truck into the shop to change the tires on it. The previous owner as always kept it stored, car had never seen snow. It sat outside for a couple days because the snow snuck up on us and I didn't want to try moving it in a blizzard, and today it wasn't so bad out. I had been starting the car regularly and everything but after I let it warm up for 20 minutes I tried leaving my driveway, clunk clunk died. Won't start. Probably frozen fuel in my lines

Yikes, just put a full bottle of Gas-dry (gas anti-freeze) in your tank and let it sit about half the day. It should fire up soon after.

I remember seeing an SUV getting stuck on one of those raised medians when it was snowing. I guess he thought that he could get over it and then couldnt get any traction because of the snow. I also drive my car in the snow, but i've got some all weather tires on. It's just important to drive slow and stay at a reasonable speed. I'll see other cars passing me in the snow, but I'm going a safe speed, so there's no worries.

What exactly did you expect? Youre driving a high powered rwd car in the snow. Invest in winter tires or a 4x4 beater or youre going to invest more into fixing your car after you get plowed into or meet a median.

Just sharing an experience man. I dont have cash to insure two cars, and this is the first time it snowed hard this year. Ive driven in snow for the past two winters and it was never as bad as it was today. I woke up and there was snow on the ground. What do you do? And hitting the median had nothing to do with the tires or the car itself, it was because nobody knew where the hell the lanes were. The car next to me was apparantly half way in my lane because i was pretty damn close to him, yet i head the median.

Ummm, I dunno. Lets see. Maybe because this is the LT1/LT4 Performance part of the site so I figured that when I click on a thread, people are posting things having to do with technical topics dealing with the LT1/LT4...not the freakin weather. Maybe Im way off here.....

This is why I bought the 'Yota, aka the beater. It has 85 horsepower and having this snow on the ground is the ONE time I can get the tires to break loose! (and that's flooring the weedwhacker engine) I hear you guys loud and clear, being a Boise native also. It took me an extra 15 minutes to get to work this morning. It seems like we haven't had snow like this in a long time.
