emissions and cat(s) discussion hey guys, my camaro came from back east. i believe in 95 and maybe earlier cars in california had to be converted to use dual cats, ca guys do ya have 1 or 2 cats?i have 1 cat at the end of my y pipe right now and passed emissions on a cold motor.
how effective are aftermarket cats in terms of doing their job versus stock? the reason i say this is because i plan on running lt's
because visual is not a concern but i need to still be able to pass the sniffer, i've been hesitant because the more budget priced headers only have ory's from what i could see. my plan is to go with pacesetter lt's and their ory. i also plan on buying a 3 inch magnaflow hf cat that will be placed where the cat is currently where the last section of the y pipe will be removed. how should this combo affect emissions. what are your experiences with the sniffer and after market cats?
