new times!
with LT's, CAI, 58mm TB, Cut-out, mildly ported stock heads/intake, and a comp #501 cam (on 1.6 rockers though) stock injectors, tune by phil on street tires (bridgestones).
I ran a best of 8.19@87 mph, and a 12.71@108mph on a 1.96 '60 foot.
sound good? the air was COLD COLD COLD something like... 30*.
the car was maxxing out the stock injectors at 5500rpm on a 50* night (the colder the air, the leaner it got) so I figure with a set of 30lb units I should pickup atleast 1mph and a tenth or so?
your injectors definitely arent holding you back though.
my buddy phil, who did the tuning with CATS hooked his wideband o2 on to the car. everything seemed fine as far as A/F was concerned. watched the duty cycle go from 96% at 5400 to 99-100% at 5500rpm and I only pull the car to 6200rpm. I put '02 LS6 springs with comp beehive retainers and stock ls6 spring shims in, along with +.050" comp locks to get the right install height/ clearance. along with CC pro-mag rockers.
the heads weren't REALLY hogged out a whole lot as far as cc's is concerned, more or less they were "massaged" but no doubt a MAJOR improvement over stock(easily a $500 to $600 port job done for $125 and some spare parts for a full size chevy). I have no clue what the duration is on the cam now, before it was a 212/218, .488"/.495" 112 on 1.5rockers. now the lift spec's at .523"/.528" with 1.6's. with the above valve train setup, I shouldn't (but could) have valve float problems. I'll look in to a pump, didn't pay attention to the fuel pressure during any of the runs, but it could be falling off, but I don't think that's the case here.
