Block off plates
Block off plates I am going to be removing my egr when I do my header install. How many plates do I need? I know I need one on the back of the intake, are there anymore??

actually you only need one, the one for the egr valve. you can get it from the dealer, have them look under an lt4 vette
the air tube that enters the other side is just a passage to the bottom hole on the egr side. the top hole on the egr is the one that actually enters the intake.

not to get off the subject but would an egr valve stuck open cause you to lose vacuum; my vacuum has dropped from a reading of around 17 to 12 on my vacuum boost gauge and before I check for an intake leak I wanted to see if they might be a cause of my problem. I've never changed my egr and don't really know what goes into blocking it off ? Will I have to program my pcm etc.?
