HPE 383 Shortblock
HPE 383 Shortblock Im buying the 383 shortblock from HPE and i wanted 2 know what else i needed 2 buy to complete the engine? can some one list all the things i need
and what would be a good streetable cam 2 go with the 383?

A short block is just the block and internals, you need the entire top end of the motor. Your really only half way there. I'm sure HPE can set you up with a good heads and cam package, so can Port Pros, Advanced Induction, and LLyod Elliot, from that point you would need the timing set, push rods, rockers and a few other pars. Your also going to need to ditch those shorties and get some long tubes.

No problem and good luck, what cam you get depends on what you want out of the car, my advice is set up a list of your realistic needs and wants from the car, what your going to be using the car for and tell the person doing the cam that. A 383 can take a fairly large cam but just remember what you want out of it and do it. Lot of peoples tolerances on whats streetable are real different.
