I was at this party and this oldboy with an eclipse, it was an older bodystyle with a turbo he did himself that leaked oil or something and he says "i would woop that Firehawk" i got a rebuild to a 355, a 212/218 cam, stock ported heads, rebuilt 3.73 rearend is mainly it. he says "your to heavy and ill leave you in the quarter and you might catch up in the longrun". i didnt know what to think, so what would happen?

Like any forced induction car, that have the potential to make some serious power. But it's the whole combo that makes the difference.

It could be a 14 second eclipse, or a 12 second elipse.

Man... hand him a Traditional Firehawk whoopin!, without the cam u should beat him w/out much prob, w/ it u shud handle him with ease, beleive I live in rice rocket central, Silcon Valley bay area.. I run into rice rockets Daily and not have met 1 that has come close 2 beatin me, I have no prob with Sti's or evo's and all I got is tires, headers, y-pipe and 3.73 gears in my 99 Z28. Unless the rice rocket sounds insane, meaning doesn't sound like a race rocket but a real mean machine, never fear the rice rocket... race him then let us know the result of u whoopin him

diy turbo, does he even have it tuned? you have everything on your side including including torque. after you take hm out ask if he blew the welds from his intake

 

My Dsm leaked a qaurt of oil every other day! Lol But I fixed that, but dont take those cars lightly, I hustled a few people because I own a import and its a 4cyc.......My car looks stock, and ive handed some Head n Cam LT1s there ***

 

On a side note 1Gs owners dont care for anything rice, fuction over forum. Most you will find is a nice paint job and rims, thats as far as it goes.

Man people still think 1Gs are slow? People are dead scared of LS1s and DSMs in chitown area.

 

DSMs are just like fox bodies. You've got to watch out for them all because they've been around for a while, and you never know just what's done to them.
