There are some other little things that might could use some attention, if the 6spd stays then I will need a clutch, this stock one has about seen enough.
I can think of 100#s easy to be taken out of the car right now
going to weight wheel combo I got now and compare to some Prostars, I would really like the Bogarts but just cant justify their price tag when I could take that same money and put in a cam and be ALOT faster.

we try to shift at 6k, keeping the pedal to the floor, according to the logs the revs go to at least 6375 on the shifts. Top end with ET Drags crossing the 1/4 mile at 64-6500.

I have LT4 springs/locks/retainers and stock lifters.
We wondered when the stock stuff would start not liking the revs and about 6700 it where it doesnt like to be spun to.
We really have not messed with the shift points, picked 6000 and have stuck with it.

For me the magic is getting the car lightweight and getting some good air to run in. Plus a driver that can shift the gears quicker than I can, say 3 tenths quicker, we pull the same 60's but he flat rips the gears!

Shon,
How much gain did you see with the RRs? Also, what tires (front and back) were you running with that crazy 11.87 @ 113.xx time? Do you know the weight of your car at the time as well? I'm just comparing cars....I'll have to work on the traction next w/o breaking the rear.

Car's race weight was 305x, this was with a 235# driver.
I have Centerline Warriors 15x3 with Sportsmans and 15x10 with either ET Streets or ET Drags (borrowed from a buddy). This set up is too heavy. Those front tires are 8ply and the ET Streets are screwed and tubed and I dont recall the weight different between those and the ET Drag set up but it was like 8-10#s difference (this is huge in a wheel combo!). I am trying to decide if I want to test some Pro-stars that should be lighter than the current set up but would rather be able to pony up for the Bogarts but dont see that happening anytime soon.
Good luck to all. These runs were made easy b/c I am not worried about what the car looks like therefore nothing is in it. Over 2006 I will be adding back some interior b/c I dont like the shell look but I will offset the weight somehow!

Your car's race weight is 305x!?! & with a 235lb driver in it as well?
I would love for my car to be 3200 w/o me in it.
Mine weighs 3415-ish w/o me and I'm 190lbs. and running 110. Man, I can't wait to drop some weight on the car, run drag radials, add RRs, setup and tune some better suspension, and give it another dyno tune to see how much mph I can run!

I just took off my front sway bar, that's good for about 20 pounds. I also plan on gutting my interior, running on less than a half a tank, and maybe I'll drop at least 75 pounds from all the stuff I've taken off of it.
