Wierd high rmp issue

Wierd high rmp issue We reprogrammed my ecm with a rev limiter of 7004 but it still seems like it's hitting it at 6200. We re-read the program out of the computer to verify and it is still at 7004. Any ideas why my car would act like it's bouncing off the limiter when it's not hitting enough rpm to do so? I would like to have this resolved as the heads/cam package is supposed to make peak through 6500-7000 and I'm having to shift a lot earlier than that. It has been theorized that my plugs are not gapped right, but wouldn't that be an issue that would come on slowly and then peak at the high rpm's? This is hauling *** and then hitting 6200 like a brick wall.
