Hi Mike. The amount of work and money to swap a 3.4 to a LT1 is not worth it. I would recommend trying to find a Z28. Why swap the motor, transmission, rear end, suspension, and electronics instead of buying a Z28? The only reason I can see this feasible is if you have a totaled Z28 due to frame damage (assuming that motor, tranny, ect. is intact) and it isn't going to cost you ANY money, just alot of time. Good luck, Mike, with ever you decide, though!

well i can get a rear end for about 250, the motor for about 8 and im going to keep my T5 tranny in there and get a new belhousing that will bolt up to the LT1.besides by me it is hard to find a Z28 that is in my price range. i figured that it would be able to save up a few hundred rather than a few thousand. im still thinkin about it though...thanks for the advice...i am not gonna jus throw ur oppinion away

Hey Mike, as far as transmissions are concerned, i would recommend the T-56 tranny that is in the Z28. Built alot stronger for the power. Also, you might want to check out www.CamaroV6.com.
