Car still won't shift!
i just got my car back from the trans shop as it wouldn't shift from 2nd to 3rd (92 vette LT1 700R4 - not sure if it's the 4l60E or NOT)
turns out there was a hairline crack in the lockup solenoid
you really should plug a code reader into your car and determine if everything is operating soundly - check TPS voltage - however, if it wasn't in "range" then you should have a code.
i also don't know about the 94 trans in Fbody - but the 92 uses a TV cable (so perhaps mine is NOT a 4L60e but rather just a 4L60) does yours use a TV cable also? maybe that is out of adjustment?

Since you had the optispark replaced and it didn't happen before, you might have a spark problem. One of the wires might not be pushed on all the way or something like that.
Or it could be something like a vacuum line not hooked back up or a sensor not plugged back in all the way. You should check all these things before introducing new things in as problems.
I had a 98 3.8 camaro that I thought can tranny problems because it was stumbling under hard accelerations. It turned out to be a spark plug. You are sure all of your plugs and wires are good.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
yesterday changing the plugs, wires, throttle postion sensor, ignition coil, and ignitions control module, but those 6 hours were well worth it! The car runs perfect, i'm not sure exactly what it was but i do know that it wasn't the plugs or wires cause they were all in great condition, my guess is that it was the ignition control module. Either way it runs awesome, it doesn't studder from a launch, and a it shifts impeccable at WOT! Thanks again to everyone who offered advice!

Wow, 6 hrs. can do a number on your nuckles! Judging by the way the old TPS sensor felt compared to a new one, I imagine the shifting problem was due mostly to it. The starting problem however was probly the ICM, and hell, now it's got a new coil too. Anybody want to come and help us with the passenger side plugs & wires?
