They're uncoated.

 

They'll rust in about 2.5 seconds. That's about it. I think you have bigger fish to fy like those headers are not power makers. Don't know if you could call them a power restriction but you certainly won't gain anything.

i dropped .4 and gained 3 mph from them, they are plenty a bolt on/ cam only car


i ran them for 3 years without any issue, yeah they get ugly becuase of the lack of coating but so do all headers.

 

Well I started with them cuz that's what I had at the time. I could only manage 333 rwhp on the dyno with a 396. It was pretty sad. So I ditched them and got the Hookers. It was just my personal experience. Like you said though, it's a bolt on/cam car, mine was not.

 

All I have done to my car is K&N CAI and TransGo shift kit. I'll definitely add a catback sometime, soon, but nothing major at all. The guy selling them painted them with a black high-heat paint enamel. They look pretty nice. I hope they don't rust anytime soon.

 

I run them and I think there one of the best shorty headers. Pretty easy install, nice price and nice gains.

 

yes i noticed a big difference, but be sure to wire your wires correctly so they do not hit the headers or go near them, i am encountering this problem so i have 7 cylinders at the moment until i find some high temp/coated wires or go with the high temp coating headers to solve this as well..

oh and to the post, you wont encounter any heating problems

 

what did you gain after the switch?

 

I think they'll be pretty much ideal for my car. I'm going to put on a Borla catback in conjunction with this, and I might buy a high-flow cat. I might also do a few more simple mods such as an LT4 knock module.
