Default le1 or le2?

I have all the parts together for the le1 package, but if i felt like plunking down the 500 bucks for a 58mm TB as opposed to the machined 52 I already bought from ebay for 100, I could go for the le2. Since I am a manual, I don't need a torque converter, and it says that I could use my 30# injectors. But is the difference worth it? Anyone who has done the swap and has information to share, I would appreciate it.

Also, for those that have done it, how experianced are you and did you use any guides? This would be the biggest job that I will have ever performed. Thanks

You can go for the LE2 now and do the TB later, watch for a used one. The heads cost a lot more than most other worthwhile upgrades if you can do them once your mod dollar will go farther.

I am planning an LE2 package so I shot Lloyd an email. I am glad that I did the valve train components he suggested were not what I was planning to buy so I save myself a bunch of heartache. I suggest that you drop Lloyd an email/or call him; tell him your plans so he can tell you what you need.

So far I have acquired:
30# SVO injectors [ FMS-M9593B302 ]
Meziere HD Water Pump [ MEZ-WP118HD ]
BBK 58mm twin TB [ BBK- 1544 ]
7/16 1.6 ratio NSA Comp Pro Mag rocker arms[ CCA-1305-16 ]
Comp HT Push rods 7.15 long [ CC- 7939-16]
7/16" rocker studs [ CCA-4503-16 ]

Next payday I am picking up a 2800 Stall converter and the following:
GM Guide plates [ 14011051 ]
Cloyes Timing Chain set (for elec. H2O pump) [ CL-3145
ARP 12 pt Head bolts [ ARP-134-3701 ]
Felpro LT1 Bottom end gasket set [ FEL-CS9966 ]
MR Gasket 0.026" head gaskets [ MRG-5716 ]
Felpro Intake gaskets [ FP-1284 ]

Shortly thereafter my heads and intake are going to Lloyds.

Mike
