this could be a total newbie question but i've got to know. can you put an ss intake on a z but not have an ss hood? what will happen? whats the difference because the ls1 z has a closed hood but has the same intake as the ss. Please answer iv'e always wondered. thanks

 

if you cut a hole in your hood maybe.......... or else it would be pointless I am not sure if it would clear the stock hood but i am doubting it..... even if it did you would be getting the hot temps from the engine....it'd be like a hot air intake opposed to a cold air intake
