Default Trick Flow LT1 Heads?

Has anyone ever run these heads or know anyone that has run them? Do they work well? I will be using them with a STS Turbo.

I've also been wondering if anyone has run the Trick Flow LTx heads. It's a toss up for me between the AFR 210's or the Trick Flow.

If I've read right, just like the AFR heads, they have a very thick deck to mill, and the compression can basically be "milled" to suit. I think they start with a 70cc chamber, and on most builds I think that keeps you down around 10.0 to 1, but it all depends on piston to deck height, head gasket, and if it's a dish/dome piston.

The trickflows start around 64cc like the lt1 iron heads which with a .029 gasket is 10:1. Not a lot of guys bolt them to stock shortblock because THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY ARE MEANT FOR. TrickFlows own writing on them says strokers and forced induction, so Wade is looking to use them for exactly their intended purpose. There is a thread withing the last week about "LT1 faithful" or something it is about Combination Motorsports LT1 powered CONSISTENT 9 second Impala the fastest one known to the b-body forums, it has Trickflows. Some guys here have recently posted about getting the bare castings and having them worked directly from Advanced Induction, looks like a pretty good deal.

I think I just read the same thread a little while ago about getting bare castings worked by AI, makes sense to have a bare casting shipped and worked to save on shipping costs and then at the same time they don't have to be disassembled either.

AI stocks the bare casting so not only do you save shipping and dissassembly but also paying a middleman.

Bizz was that a set of Trick Flow or AFR heads? Also check out this set of rare twisted wedge heads that just sold on Ebay. I emailed Trick Flow and they confirmed that this set that sold was an ultra rare 1 of 12 sets made and they do not make them and will not make them any more, but he did quote me a price of under $1400 for a set of out of the box 500HP + heads. Here is his quote:

We do currently produce an LT1 head, TFS # 30400010.

This head is capable of supporting 500+hp right out of the box, as cast. We
have them in stock for $1359.95 (And these heads have a 1 year warranty...).

Thanks,
Art Kakiou TFS Tech Advisor

And here is the Ebay link to the rare twisted wedge LT1 heads that sold for $1500

I don't see why these heads with a little work couldn't flow closer to 300 cfm on the intake side at around .600" lift.
