i know the lt1 intake will fit on with modification to the ports and im pretty sure the l98 wasnt reverse cooling so the heads wouldnt fit...and i have no clue about the cam but ive never seen a cam that says l98/lt1 so i wouldnt think so

yes and no. Some internals swap, the LT1 intake is a common swap, but heads and such take a good bit to modify to fit.

Heads no, LT1s are reversed cooled. But L98s are Gen I SBCs, they have way more head options than LT1s do and you coan get some killer stuff for them. Cam, I belive you can get it to work, people run LT4 Hot cams in them. The Intake manifolds can be converted towork and a lot of people do

Yeah believe that's basically the same thing as an LT1. The cam swaps, I just think you have to grind on the dowel pin. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, the dowel pins are different lengths for the early optis versus the late lt1 opti's. Just use the dowel that came out of your original cam. I don't think the hole for the dowel are different depths, it's just the dowel length. Lt1 intakes will work, you just have to modify them to have coolant crossovers for the l98's.
