Default What is wrong here?

Hey guys,

My m6 1995 lt1 is making some noises.

When i shift into usually 1st 2nd or 3rd and even when i downshift, right as i shift it makes this rubbing noise almost like its not grabbing something and just rubbing, but when its fully shifted into the gear it goes away?

I have been told this might be that my clutch cable has to be adjusted because its acting like the clutch isnt engaged all the way?

Also have been told maybe its the synchros?

Well we gotta decide if the noise is coming from the back of the motor or on top the tranny where the shifter is. I imagine you've got close to 100,000 miles or more on the tranny so I'm gonna so synrchonizers. I had my 2nd gear go out before I swapped to auto.

Well its niether, its more like a rubbing noise doesnt rattle or chatter.

Almost like a grinding noise but not that loud. I can feel the vibration in my hand when shifting

Synchros. They'll steadily get worse.

I don't know how expensive because I pulled mine before I got it fixed. I wouldn't know how hard to change either. Better let someone who knows trannies do that one.
