Default Lifter replacement Help

Ordered the stuff to replace a colapsed lifter. What do I need to know? Need some info. Torque specs and sequence for manifold. How to adjust rocker arm? Anything else I need to know or special tools?

Or should I just pay someone?

do it yourself bro, not that hard, just need some patience with the cramped quarters. Here are a few "how-tos" sites that could help you a little, you might pickup a Haye's or Chiltons for our Fbodies which has tq specs, etc. The following sites have the specs as well I believe.

pretty simple. When taking off the intake, dont be afraid to push some wires out of the way. I marked witch injector wire went in front. I was worried about marking everything, but it isnt really necessary. Once the injector wires are pluged in, everything lines itself up. Youll need intake and valve cover gaskets. timing the valves kinda sucks. position the balancer arrow pointing straight up on the compression stroke. go to cylander #1 and tighten both intake and exhaust, then extra 3/4 turn once all play is removed. then 2, 5, 7 intake, and 3,4,8 exhaust. then turn the balancer 360 degrees and do the ones you havnt already done.

I just did it last night took about 4 1/2 hours. Didn't need any special tools. Just a swivel. Oh and the tool to release the fuel lines. I replaced the valve cover gaskets even though I didn't need to.
