Have you all checked your radiator fans? are they turning on? I used to have a similar situation on my car, one the fans burnt out, the passenger side and only driver fan would work. Temperature never got over 3/4, but it was strange since normal temperature in my car has always been between half and a 1/4. If car cools down on the highway, I would think its a bad radiator fan, since it heats up quick when stopped at idle. Check passenger fan, run direct current to it so you can find out if its working, if it works directly, try switching fan relays.

It's perfectly fine. It's the OTHER side that has the leak.

Also, if you just did a water pump change, make sure you put the coupler which connects the water pump to the cam back on.

Make sure your cooling system doesnt have any air pockets. If you have your A/C on make sure there is enough freeon. Check your fans, or a head gaset blown. Look between the condenser and the radiator for debris.

if your running low on freeon and using your A/C it tends to heat up.

I think people are making this a little more difficult than it should be.
