Default 94 Z that wont fire up.

Here my problem... 1994 Camaro Z28
Opti is good whe I have taken it off, MSD coil is good along with other parts to make a car run.

I took every off and out to fix an oil leak coming from the water pump drive gear seal. I took my time with doing making sure the opti didnt get went in which it didnt.
Now, I put everything back together today and went to start it up and it wont fire... It has fuel pressure cause I can smell it and I check the sharder valve, its just not getting any spark, not even from the coil pack.
I checked all fuses in which are good, swapped the old coil pack in and tried again and still no fire.

Any Ideas?

check and make sure you hooked everything up down by the coil, there should be a bunch of grounds going to the bolt holding it on.

check the connectors at the opti, coil, igniton modual...

The flexplate? You mean the flywheel? Don't think that has anything to do with ignition spark..........

Definately try the Ignition Controll Module. Happened to my buddies '94 Trans Am, had a new opti, new coil, good plugs & wires and wouldn't spark. It's an expensive part (like $70), but I'm willing to bet it's your problem. Make sure you have the grounding surfaces to the module clean (I used sand paper to get the old crusty stuff off) in addition to the bolt-mounted ones mentioned above, and use plenty of dielectric grease, you should get a spark. Good luck! and let us know how it turns out.

Well I solved the problem.... It ended up being one single wire that went to the D connector to the coil itself. You know how you have those 2 D connectors, the single wire one had been twisted so much that it finnaly broke off and was hanging on by the wire insolation...
I soderd it back together and now it runs fine, well I did have # 8 and 2 wire crossed but that was an easy fix...

Thanks for help guys!
