i think he meant they don't change the rate of flow like the stock pump will, seeing as they're electric. I see what he's saying but you'd think someone would have noticed after all these years if they did in fact cause hot spots.

what he means is when your twisting 7500 RPMS, the flow rate will be the same as idle. He is partially right. When you give the car RPM the alt will create a slight amount of charge increase which will spin the pump slightly faster.
That aside, unless your turning 7500 RPM on an insane motor, your going to be fine with an electric and it will cool great.

I see what you're saying. I don't know how much more voltage the alternator actually would make, assuming the voltage regulator is working correctly, but it definitely does make sense.
