Single Plane on a H/C car?
Single Plane on a H/C car? Just kinda throwing the idea out there for discussion. I have a buddy who goes to SAM and they built a 383 with GM LT1 heads, 24x/24x solid and a single plane, made 530 HP on their engine dyno. We were throwing the idea around, and thinking on a medium to agresive H/C set like a LE2 or LE3 could pick some power up over a LT1 Intake. I could care less for "peak" power numbers here but wouldnt it make more power all across the power band with the improved runner length?
So the main issues would be tunning as well cost of actual conversion? I noticed a lot of the SBC guys put on single planes on their set ups, prety much all. Be intresting to see some one try it. If it was making more power right across the band from say 3500 to 6K, I wonder what kind of ET gains that would translate too.
