Is there a difference? So GM rated the '93-'95 Z28s at 275bhp. Then the '96-'97 Z28s were rated at 285bhp, with the SS being rated at 305 (with the exclusion of the LT4, rated at 330). My question is: What was the difference between the '95 and '96 M6 Z28 to change the rating. Or was there a difference? My buddy has a '96 Z28 M6 that is bone stock and he thinks he is going to be faster than me. Not by much, but like a fender or so, he said. Personally, I think it'll be a driver's race. We won't get to run 'em anytime soon, because he can't drive his until his dad gives him permission (grades).
But were there any siginifcant differences in the LT1 between '95 and '96? Maybe a better intake manifold, less restricted exhaust, etc...
