What is the difference between the link you gave me and the hotcam? If I get the one you said, I'll have to buy 1.6 roller rockers and some upgraded springs as well. The hotcam is more of an agressive cam, right? I just want somewhere around 315Rwhp or so. Although, I do want something reliable. Do you still think the link above is better, or the hotcam? What is the difference?

Thanks for the help by the way.
The hotcam has been out for a while, so it is proven technology, no arguing that. The cam I linked is part of a fairly new lineup that uses the newest lobe designs, but isn't anywhere close to being as tried and true as the hotcam setup. The hotcam kit comes with 1.6 roller rockers and springs too, so you'll be upgrading those either way. Usually a ton of hotcamhaters invavde threads like this, I'm suprised it hasn't happened yet. The choice is yours, but I remember John Lingenfelter saying that when you compare cams with similar duration, go with the one with more lift for a street car.

being an A4 u really dont need pushrods, and like u mentioned yours are already fairly new, so i really wouldnt worry about it. i mean..... hardened pushrods can never hurt anything and if it would make u feel better u can get them but like i said its not as needed in a A4 as it is in a M6.

FWIW.... you can't do a setup for near the money that you can do the HotCam setup from GM.

It's GM PN 12480002

You can get that at Summit, Jegs, SDPC2000, etc..... for $530.

That's rockers, valve springs, camshaft, retainers, locks, springs seats and seals... you can't come close to that on anything else.

I've been designing and selling LT cam/valvetrain setups for a while now and to build a custom setup or anything out of Comp Cams that will work with the same parts it's going to be DOUBLE the price of the HotCam kit.

For what you are doing it's EXACTLY what you are looking for.
