Theres a new beast on the street I was on my way to the mall last night and ran up on an 06 Monte carlo SS. Now normally I don't even pay attention to those things because IMO theyre kinda lame I mean they only sport a 6cyl and I've stomped every one that ever tried to give me any crap. Well this was a different animal.
I was behind him at the light and he heard me pull up. I wasn't gonna even bother with him but he kept revin the motor and I just couldn't resist. Off the line this thing pulled like an LS1 camaro. It was everything I could do to keep up with him let alone trying to pass him. We both finally let off, traffic was getting too bad. I couldn't believe I got that kind of a race out of a monte carlo. We both pulled over to do some talking. These new 06 SS monte carlos are sporting small block 5.3L V8's. Stock theyre pushing 303HP and that my friends is a wicked combo in a car that small. I don't know about the supercharged v6's but the V8's are somthing to be reconed with on the street.

yeah i think u mean the grand prix gtp supercharged. they run like a 14.4 or soemthin like that. but anyways, the monte carlo is pretty damn fast for a mommy's daily driver. i personally think its stupid to make it a fwd v8. deffinate torque steer up the ***. only other fwd v8 i know of is the taurus SHO 3rd gen.
