95 Firehawk hood- Confused???
95 Firehawk hood- Confused??? I have a 95 firehawk and when I look through the two inlets in the front, there is the little black screen thing, and then behind it looks to be like red foam or fiberglass idk what it is. My question is can I cut this out to get just a tiny bit more air in? Also, can you guys with the same hood as me see your motor through your hood or is this normal??? help appreciated-thanks.
the air makes an "W" shaped path in the hood. This way if you drive in the rain, the water will drain down before it goes up into the intake. If you look under the front of your hood, there will be half inch cuts along the bottom by the latch. Those are for the water to drain.
