ok guys im going to iraq soon so this will be for when i come back.
i would like to build eather a 396, or put a S/C on my motor i have now(witch is a stock ci lt1 with tpis heads,hot cam, comp 918s,1.7rr, bbk 52mm TB,bbk mid lenth headers, msd 6al box, ported intake, and a few more little things) my ? is this. i will be on a $6000 budget and want to know what would be my best option. my end goal is a 11 sec every day car that is fun to drive. i have no traction molds and a stock converter and a best time of 12.92 at 106 mph. so any input would be great, remember i wont get this started for about a year. and i have only 6k so what would you do????????

first before you do an s/c do a stall, gears and some suspension stuff, SFC's etc... then think about whether you want to do the s/c or the 396.

 

id do a 396 with bigger cam and get those heads worked on a bit, and then throw some nitrous at it. but id also do some suspenion mods also
