rear main seal

Pretty simple question I think, just gotta see if what im looking at is correct...

does anyone know the symptoms of a leaky rear main seal? (LT1) Anyone have any pictures or guides? Gotta know if im in for a huge labor bill...(as i cant drop my tranny in my driveway

A leaking rear main seal will usually only leak when the motor is running. If it leaking all the time then look harder at the oil pan gasket and surrounding areas such as the filter housing.If the transmission does have to come down then plan on a bill around 300.00
