You should have no problem finding a 98-99 ls1 z28/formula for under 8k.
You have to be patient.
Now an ss or a trans am...that will most likely cost you 10k or more.

if I was too get a ls1 car I would have to put a SS hood on it, they look kinnda plain. But my roomies 2000 SS looks goooood.But I still think the LT1 SS looks way better. JMO
