That's controlled by the pcm. You need to get a tune if you want to change it.

yeah youll have to program your pcm again to do that, if its an M6 thats around where it should be, if its an auto then it should be 500~600. if you put in polyurethane mounts then your going to have a bit more shake then the rubber ones since theyre stiffer.

Have you checked the condition (cleanliness) of your idle air solenoid? It influences the idle speed and idle quality.

Dunno where there located but Yes the 02's are connected directly to Long Tube headers. With stock headers I believe one is on the cat and one on the y-pipe somewhere. BTW What is the stock idle rpm??

The idle air solenoid is located on the side of the throttle body. Couple of Torx head screws hold it on, and an o-ring seals it, IIRC.

the stock idle rpm for a M6 is 800~900 for an A4 its 500~600. you also might think about the IAC its located on the underside of the TB, it could be clogged and getting stuck. to clean it start the car then spray carb cleaner in the bottom opening of the two in the middle of the tb and that should clean it out.

If you must raise the idle, there might be a "screw" in which you can force the throttle blades to stay open. My BBK 58mm has one but cannot recall the stocker. Just screw it out towards the front of the car and it will open the blades slightly, like giving it pedal.
