could also be the hatch. every LT1 f-body i've ever been in has had a squeaking hatch any time you hit a bumb or even turn in the worst cases.

Yea I agree its either your hatch or Im thinking it might be the coil spring pad, you should put WD40 on the weather stripping for the back hatch, that will fix that sqeak and put some graphite lube on the latch.
Then put some heavy grease on the coil spring pad and grease whatever fittings you have that have the greasing nipples.
It could possibly be any bushing back there. I suggest if you have any original bushings that you replace them.

i had a loud sqeak over bumps in the front and the rear. i put heavy blue grease on the spring insulators(both sides) and used silicone spray on the endlinks/swaybar bushings and it went away. i also had a little bang and it turns out there was a bulletton on and it says to get lower rear spring insolaters from a early mid 90's caprice/impala. i never did the front so it still sqeaks. my hatch rattled a little so put electical tape on the hatch lock and replaced the hatch shocks. noise went away.

it was like a poping noise. it sounded like it was coming from the driver side rear. made me go nuts. i work at a gm dealership and looked for bullettins on it and thats what i found.(use the lower spring insolator from an 95 impala/caprice). i think there like 5 dollars a peice. for that price i figured i would try it and it worked. do you an aftermarket catback? sometimes the intermediate pipe bangs off the heat sheild or the bar it runs under(not the panhard rod but the one above it, i can't remember the name of it) if it's not installed correctly. the bang usally would accure moreso on bigger bumps like speed bumps or when your drive fast over road dips. the noise was the metal to metal, from the spring to the rear end housing.
