help weird squeaking!

help weird squeaking! All right was gettin ready to make a short trip into town today. Second turn I make(about 15 mph) it feels like my brakes let go and the tranny upshifted. I made the turn and tried to brake and I still had brakes but not like I used to. When I braked to it also made a thump,thump,thump sound like a driveshaft or somethin and squealed like none other(especially from the driver side). I babied it home and when I braked to go into my drive way it squeaked like no other. I got out and visually inspected the car and no luck. Anyone got any ideas?
