new&used timing chain set ?

new&used timing chain set ? Well started putting everything back on my freashly rebuilt motor and while i was putting on my timing chain cover i was wondering how the heck it runs my opti ?
its been about 4 months sense i pulled it apart well they sent me the wrong timing chain set its for the vented opti so it does not run with the little center drive.
so after calling around and no luck finding a new Cam gear i used the old Cam gear but kepp the new sprock&chain... it had hardly any wear what so ever and i called a local builder and said it would work ok.. what do you guys think?
