I definetly agree with what you are saying. I used to be a die hard Mobil 1 5w-30 guy but I switched to Castrol Syntec 0W-30 (German) after a couple of days of reading about it on BITOG and I have had nothing but good reports from it in fact the two reports are on BITOG.

I couldn't find the 0w30 German Castrol, so based on what I had read the 0w40 Mobil 1 was recommended as a good oil for the LTX. thats what I went with
