gen 1 vs gen 2
Ok im in the middle of a rebuild and trying to get some questions answerd, The area im located in there is not many Lt1s around so they are not very easy to fing info about them. I was hoping some one could get me some info?
AS far as internals crank, robs, and piston. What can be interchange and use from the frist gen small block ? Or do i have to get parts just for the LT1? Im hopeing that some one was a write up or another web site that i could read and learn about them more indept.

The Gen2 only has different heads and manifold, and slight differences in the water jackets and passages through the block, other than that all the internals will fit minus the timing because of the Opticrap. As long as it is a SBC with one piece rear main seal the rotating assembly will fit
