SOunds like you have a bad battery, or a bad CONNECTION, check the tighness of the cables to teh battery, that will sometimes cause the "clicking." It's most likely that, if not, your starter.....

I have never checked out the starter on a TA or Camaro, should be connected to the trans, hoist it up and take a peek. Shouldn't be too hard. Wiring is pretty simple too.

its pretty easy to change out the starter two bolts and two nuts for the wiring and BAM its out. Its probably one of the easier fixes, actually I would pull out the starter and the battery go to your local auto parts store and get them to test them, it sounds like a bad starter or wiring hook up, usually a oil soaked starter will do that.

well if it drops to 8 volts it is probrally not the starter. my guess it a bad battery and once you get it running be either a new battery or a jump i would check the charging system to make sure that it is charging

It could be the fuel delivery......like when you put in acc...if you here a click sound were the back seats are that means its the fuel delvery......but you should go pay $80 for a pro to check out your whole car and it takes about a day or maybe 2 days...its worth it....
