Fastest Stock Internal LT1?
#2
Well our shop car is a full weight car..meaning 3670lbs...and we have ran a best of a 60 ft limited 12.3 at 111mph. There is another guy on here with a lighter car running in the 11.90s.

What do you need to be considerd stock internal?
Would it be possible for me to buy all new stock internals and put them in and still be a Stock Internal Racer?
My motor is crapping out at 142k I could do a 383 but i would rather do this, it sounds like much more fun too.

Your stock internal (stock bottom), is limited to 600 RWHPish, with nitrous. How coud that be more fun than a 383 with a big shot of nitrous, 800 RWHP?? If you got the cash do the 383 or possibly a 39x.

my friends heafty Impala stock full bolt on car has run a record setting (for us B-bodies) 12.36 @ 107. He's got 4.88s now and a 30" tall tire (same final drive as 4.10s and his 26" tall tires) so I'm not sure what he's going to run this year. Of course that run was accomplished on that blessed East Coast air

There are so many different defintions of this it gets confusing. Dow we mean never craked the motor open in any way, Roller rockers seems to be an issue. Shon (? Spelling) has a pretty bad *** ET for what he has done!

Well as I said before, my car is acting and runnin like ****. My valves are floating and its time for a freshining up session. I was thinkin i would take the heads off and re-assemble them then put em back on. It doesnt seem like people are really having to many problems with the stock roatating assembly.

The Impala Matt mentioned does have roller rockers and springs, lightening to the extreme of removing the exhaust, and a special experimental converter that wont likely be available till next winter or so and goes 11.3 on a 150 shot.
He is looking for a little more too just bought some 1.65 SA rockers.

Is the cam part of stock internal?
If you go cam only are you alowed to port the heads?
How do the cam only requirements work?

You can do anything but swap out the rotating assembly for aftermarket stuff.
Heads, cam, bolt ons, nos, whatever.
