Default Flowmaster Catback Crackly?

I heard a stock LT1 last night with a Flowmaster catback with 40 series muffler. Is was insanly raspy and crackly and IMO sounded like ****. Is this really what they are supposed to sound like? I have 2OTL and it sounds 999999x times better I think.

I had a 40 Series American Thunder that crackled and popped. It rattled a little also. It's the way the Flowmasters are designed, one of the baffles rattles and gives it the crackling. It sounded like ****. I got a Dynomax Bullet, and that is nice and crisp.
