accel gen 6 DFI with my own modded opti, the unit is now sealed, the metal tab is bolted down so it won't fly off and everything is screwed down with locktite including the rotor. has not come apart let.

I have never really had any issues other then strange looks Dyno graph;s with running a stock Opti to High RPM. I have been shifting at 7k for years

Now getting them to not burn up the cap and rotor on the other hand HAS been an issue

Well, I finally got the car rolling after the install. Overall, it's at least as good as stock, as the car feels the same as it did before I put it on. Bolts right on, no issues at all with that part.

The adjustment screw is fairly easy to get to with a 6" extension and a swivel socket.

I did end up taking it completely apart, the parts inside are top-notch. It has MSD's own optical pickup in it, and the trigger wheel looks similar to factory, but it's probably MSD's own.

The bearing it rides on is good quality, ABSOLUTELY no side-to-side play like a new factory one.

I'll be sure to keep everyone updated if I have any issues with it!

Did you buy you MSD opti from Tybyrne Motorsports by chance? If so how long did it take for the shipping? Waiting on my MSD Opti from them

thank you... people have been asking me about it and i told them when you hold it and feel the design... you can actually feel the difference over the stock unit... i have had mine in for about 1 month now and around 3K miles on it... no problems at all with several washes and hard driving everyday... i have my own but keep us posted on how yours does...
