I would think you could get closer to 470-500 to the wheels. Take your car to the track or find a loaded Dyno.

i know of a solid roller 14:1 383 LT4 combo 4l60e,12bolt STOCK PCM and slicks makes 522/5xx NA

was AFR good maybe a conservative tune for the motor/nitrous

hell my old 383 stock casting's,GM847 STOCK PCM 12 bolt 6spd slicks and all made 400/415 at the wheel

Call Chuck at HPE 281 448-1300. They build 396's specifically for the LT1 Cars. Have the Fastest LT1 car ever and it produced 1200 + hp on the Mustang Dyno. Sounds to me like a tuning issue, but I am not the "expert" either. I am my own mechanic but have to go to HPE & Custom Performance for the final tunings. You can see in my sig the difference in the Mustang Dyno 418 rwhp and Dynojet Dyno 441 rwhp on the same day. My Firehawk made 434 rwhp after a fuel tune adjustment and I still have the stock 346 bottom end with a cam. Totally different cars, but a LT1 396 should make a lot more rwhp on the mustang dyno. Just my 2 cents.

Some of y'all need to realize that theres more to dyno numbers than just the motor, drivetrain afects it a ton, Th400s with big stalls are going to kill numbers, same with a 9inch. Sounds like his is built to run at the track where it counts and not be a dyno queen.

Awesome, did you dyno it on slicks? I was figuring your drive train set up would be some thing along those lines, who cares for dyno numbers any way, your set up isnt exactly a six speed and 10 bolt that will crank some message board friendly numbers any way. Good luck man, sounds like your car should come out the hole hard, should be really fun.

Sorry guys I did dyno it on slicks I kind of figured the trans and stall would affect numbers but just wanted some input as soon as I get to the track I will post some numbers my goal is to see the 9s on motor and the 8s on the spray but well see tomorow it goes for exhaust and then I am sending axels to be gun drilled and having flanges stared and my new strange brakes in the rear looking to get rid of some rotating mass thanks for all the input peace
