I believe they run 13.8 in stock form.....to give you an idea. 
LT1 Vs 300gt Vr4
VR4s are capable of mid-high 13s stock. this is a 91 with most likely alot of miles. It will probably run low 14s. I raced one at the drags and he was running consistent low 14s/high 13s at 98-99. It will be a drivers race.

didn't know they came in auto...but if so I'd say you'll eat him from a dig....since he doesnt have the ability to stall up and launch as hard with the AWD like he does from a dig. Just race him and find out! Like the other guy said, its always worth it just to see how your car compares to another.
they are pretty bad ***. But a 91 should be a lot slower than the newer ones and as long as you grab traction it is all you.

Drop your clutch at 2500, you'll get some spinout, shift to 2nd fast, i mean fast and progress to WOT but not too fast or you'll spin out some more, and you'll toast him. Dood he's old, he might even break something.

I raced a modded (~350 hp) 3000GT VR4 -92 last season in my LT1 (only mods are catback (slowmaster) and 4.10 gears. Road was wet but it was a close race. As the driver of the 3000GT put it: -If the road would have been dry you would have kicked my *** with that thing.
I was travelling straight forward with the car pointing 45 deg. left with spinning tires all the time. Guess my tires don't hook up well on wet tarmac.
edit: So YES You will probably take him. They are seriously heavy!

If you aren't racing for money then race him. Oh well if he beats you. If he does you must not know how to drive or you havent modded it enough yet. too bad its not a stock ls1. Otherwise it wouldnt matter if you were a crappy driver, youd still kill him.
