Default Spark Plug Gap

I did the search already and found that factory gap is right around .050. I saw once that if I were to buy a .035 it would be better performance. If that is true, what other effects would buying a .035 gap create?

I don't think you can buy pregapped plugs other than stock gap. You can buy the cheap copper ones and gap them yourselves. Generally the closer the plug gap is for nitrous and supercharger and high compression. These applications need closer gaps to keep the fire more continuous. I think the wider the gap, nitrous/superchargers/high compression can "blow it out." For a naturally aspirated car, stock gap is best for longest life. I do not know of any positive effects of closer gap only.

Good explanation, makes perfect sense. Although Thunder Racing sells the different gaps, that's why I was asking...just curious
