For the street light guy, who has no sponsor, and for the one's who do want to get serious, with a little practice an M6 will far outlive, FAR outperform, and serve as a multi-purpose piece of hardware able to adapt to gas conscious driving or pure all out WOT thrashings, a manual is simply a superior design, and just becuz they are not the most popular, or the easy solution to learning how to shift, it does not mean that everyone should go auto cuz everyone like you goes around claiming this or that, but never mentions the bills they deal with on a common basis. Not to mention the "power dampening effect" which in laymen's term is equal to simply power loss. OR lets touch up on the subject that once u go to a higher stall convertor your phucked with it at every light, and your gas.... well not that bush hasn't been riding you *** is, but now you've got a double whammy(don't get excited) as your new 9 inch torque converter is flashing high stall 24/7. (plus overheating the fluid)
The pretext as you told the kid was 'everyones going auto, and your going M6, your gonna slow down if anything' or to that effect (this is not a qoute before you go Tom petty) is silly non-sense, he is obviously going to go faster, as he will gain back the so called "power dampening" effect, and then he will go even faster depending on himself and his ability to zone in on his car and it's shifting points.
You, simpleton, are a follower, not much more, and you were rude in your responses to him. And like Shon said wheres your setup and what does it do??
Who is your daddy?
No one is nutswingin but you, your nutswingin the bandwagon, the worst nutswinging of all without even your own experiences to talk about, and this guy being the fastest bolt-on is no small accomplishment in contrast to what your spewing with little to back from your own claim, I think the punky brewster award goes to you, little black rubber bracelets and all.
Shons got some credentials you got nada, lint, and mucho magazines.
Take 2 cars same output and same mileage, a perfect example when these cars first debut, and they ran neck to neck, automatics NEVER did better than the stick, NEVER, thats right NEVER. I want to say it one more time NEVER. If auto's go faster why is it that the manuals consistently came up .6-.8 tenths faster with new cars from the factory??
Auto's are good for the drag racing sport if you want to dial in and win as the best dial in. Which is the point right?? Consistency...whoopdee do. It can be done with an M6 with a little more work. But at a light?? 2 cars with the same engine output on both cars?? an M6 properly orchestrated will win everytime, simply there are 2 more gears ratios to go through, 2 more driving forces to maintain you at your peak power, any auto that "catches up" to an equivalent engine output M6 car is simply experiencing the other driver phucking up his shift. OR the auto out-Horsepowered the other car, it in no way is becuz you are AUTO.
The question on wether u want to go auto or not is all about just how interested are you in consistency?? at the track.
If your looking to improve your car's performance, longevity, and reliability, there is no doubt that a manual will deliver, and if your looking to drag race with it, with some practice it can be just as consistent, but no YOU CANNOT rule out an occasional mis-shift, becuz we are humans and not robots, BUT on the other hand consider that missed shift a small price to pay in exchange for the downtime, the endless bills and "power dampening effect" an auto will provide you with, of particular value to some of us, you know the non-sponsered daily drivers, or street/strip set up.
An auto may be more consistent but it will NOT be faster or more durable.
My M6 has survived 2 twenty something year olds(including me) and now has 152K and I have seriously thrashed on this car, since I've had it at 86K, and it has and still does continue to put up with my abuse. It is not common for an auto to survive this kind of abuse, and for so long, or too see it go to this mileage without needing a rebuild, the rare species of "factory freakisous" or the "lightfoot-enatous" or even the "neverseenous-arain" these seem to be the ones that go the extra mile but it is obviously becuz their natural habitat is slowandpampered-landia. Outside of these feather-footed species an auto will not last, and will take a dump on you like a 93 opti through puddles when you least expect it.
Come on, come out with it?? no... hold on wait, not the homosexuality, keep that to yourself. How many rebuilds do you have??, come on, tell the truth, MAN-UP, brokeback mt., man up.

License2Ill ... your obviously a FAN BOY of the f-ing manual.
Mnauals are stronger and funner. But out of the factory they are faster for a few reasons... gearing.... and the fact yoiu can dump at any rpm...
I have seen a good m6 driver vs a auto with a stall.. nearly identical cars... and the auto wins. Its just easier.
I honestly would go M6 if i could... but it is in relaitly much more$$$ and a pita...
why go throug the trouble when a t-brake a3 is cheap and fast times (and dont forget consistant)?

Warrior Rims with ET Streets/tubes 26x11.50x15 OR ET Drags 26x10x15.
The Drags are a bit smaller in diameter and it turns 6400-6500 on the top end of the 1/4 with those. We thought that was good but ironically the Streets is what we did the 11.80 run with, it only turns like 6200ish with those.
I would like to change wheels and get rid of the tubes, that combo is heavy. Even the fronts have the 8ply sportsmans on there so they are on the heavy side too.

And I still love the name calling. After all the stuff you have posted I have yet to call you any names other than your screen name. That is amusing.

As I stated in the previous thread once the guy gets some seat time it will be consistant. The sheer ability to questimate what somebody will run in the 8th based on a previous run non cammed with an auto with no mention of DA to a new setup with a manual that he hasn't went down the track with is lousy. Nobody here is going to be able to tell him you are going to run XX, so as I put it, it would be better in this case to just run the car. That way his expectations are not broken, his hopes were not crushed, and he doesn't need to compare what others randomly guess he will run vs what he did run.
you just keep digging your hole deeper and deeper. i see that you keep saying "you dont even know why this thread was started" when in reality you are the one who is clueless. i was never going to be upset if my car didnt run the times that some would expect out of it. i can pull up countless threads on here from grown men looking for predictions on what their car will run with new mods. i know that many other guys have swapped from autos to t56s in their f-bodies and i was hoping they could chime in with improved timeslips from the track. but in your case, you think i am a "punk" for that.
all the guys who know me from car related stuff, such as shon, can testify that i am not a punk, nor do i sit around and talk about what my car will run. i am not one of those who acts like they know everything (such as....you) and i know have a whole lot to learn. a simple prediction from guys who have went down my road already shouldnt be a problem. this whole swap is more for fun on the street than times at the track anyway. my advice to you is, if you dont have some constructive criticism or something positive to say about a thread, stay the hell away from it. because once you put all your garbage in someones thread (especially about another guys car) you better expect your *** to be chewed in return.

I still love the fact that you created a beating around the bush callout of me instead of having the ***** to directly do so.

He does not post his car, mods, times, anything like that. I should have followed his lead and stayed on the porch.
