Simple 18 degree head question

He means unlocked auto, I believe.....and a 9 inch rear doesn't help the issue...He would be hard pressed to make 400 that way (especially with a big stall)...

Honda Hunter....Yes there are combos that make good power (on stock short blocks), even with all the power robbing items like yours (and mine)...Ellis Groo (Twofast4Lv) made 392 unlocked through a 12 bolt and Big Yank stall. The cubes don't help much unless you have manifold work, and really good/big heads to feed them...but, he has sense moved on to a stroker also, and so far has run 4 tenths/4 miles per hour faster...

Lock the verter and really see what the power your combo puts out...Hopefully atleast 420 locked....

you dont need to be looking at 18 deg heads and more exotic stuff for the goals you have.

True but it was just a thought. Having a setup up like that has room to grow. Most LT1 setups Ive seen max out potential wise in the 470 area. I feel Ive done all I can do without going to the next level but I guess I should finish up the level Im on first for now.

As far as stock C.I making above 400rwhp, I havent seen a A4 do it yet but mabey I missed it.

your talking a $10k motor making 4xx rwhp.

instead, i would blow my $2500 or whatever on h/c and related hardware.

its gonna cost alot more for a very nice 18 deg setup.
