whats this worth Well, i figured i wouldget a better estimate from the lt1 guys on here, but i am going off to college soon and am debating taking my 97 t/a or selling it and getting a nice little s-10 or something and save a little money on gas and what not. I really like it alot, but college is a little more important. Its a 97 t/a, black hardtop with leather, ram air hood, cold air intake, 1.6 rr, electric water pump, LTCC coil over kit, pacesetter mid-length headers with percy's carbon fiber gaskets and stage 8 header bolts, gutted cats, flowmaster cat back. I rebuilt the transmission about 6 months ago with viper syncro's, and steel 3/4 shift fork with pro 5.0 shifter, and spec stage 3 clutch. It has 195,000 on the odometer, but the previous owner put a new motor in it at 16X,XXX miles, I forgot where the reciept he gave me for it was, but the motor has around 30,000 miles on it. I'll say take it to college... but what can I say... I almost got rid of my t/a to pursue an LS1... I am glad I kept it, there's no price to those memories and hours spent working and fixing it!! But I guess its like my father says... "we live in the car country, there will always be cars that'll come around..."
Just keep it, I am going to have to bring my car to college for the first time this year even though i am a senior. I am really worried about stupid people doing something to it though. My girlfriends 88 oldsmobile got keyed after only a month of being here. I was considering getting a cheap second car to take but realized, i have spent all my money on this car. Oh well, keep it and good luck.
