Valve Lash How do i set it properly on RR with poly locks????
I have tryed the spin the pushrod method but dosenīt seem to work properly??
Do let the H.lifters have a litle flex left in them or what?

I have always went to zero lash then 1/2 turn and they were ok. your problem might be the valve isnt in a closed position or are you using self aligning rockers or guide plates? pull your valvecovers off and see if any rocker arms are hitting the vc and Possibly pushrod length but that shouldnt be a problem with the hot cam

Iīm using self alignin rockers,the rr do not hit the VC

Are you setting them with the car running? That was the easiest way for me. Use cardboard to make a shield and you won't get that dirty, and the oil won't land on the headers to make it smokey.

I do them to the "barely tight spinning pushrod point", then I use a cheap ($11) mechanic's stethascope to listen on each rocker stud while the motor is running and warm, and adjust until the 'tapping' is minimized.
What's important is how you tighten the polylocks. I get the adjustment where I want with the body of the polylock and then tighten the heck out of the set screw. Helps to use this excellent Summit tool (make sure you get the right size):
This tools makes it a lot easier to do when the engine is running. Probably safer, too. $21.95 at Summit.
